Emund (III) Old the , wire of Olof Skötkonung, succeeds his/her brother Anund Jacob as king of Sweden of 1050 with 1060. His/her son-in-law Stenkill Rögnvaldsson will succeed to him.
Emund Old the (Gamle) is the son of Olof Skötkonung and its concubine Edla, a girl of the Jarl of VindlandI. It was high in the family of its mother and did not make great case of our religion according to Adam of Bremen. It reigns after his younger brother Anund Jacob, considered as the legitimate son of the king. It will be also called (Slemme) (the bad one). He married towards 1040 Astrid, girl of Njal Finnson, jarl of Halogaland, the second woman and widow of Ragnvald Ulfson the Jarl of Västergötland.
Önund his/her son and heir would have died in 1056 according to Adam of Bremen, during a warlike forwarding: envoy by his father to increase the kingdom and parvenu with the country of the women - which is that of the amazones according to us - where it perishes with his army of the poison which they had mixed with water with the fountains .
Ingamodher, the girl of king Edmund, married Stenkil Ragnvaldsson which will be its successor and who is always regarded by Adam of Bremen as the nephew or the adoptive son of the king .
