Tony Dreyfus (born the January 9th 1939 with Paris) is a lawyer and a Politician French, member of the socialist party, Secretary of State near the Prime Minister Michel Rocard of 1988 with 1991, Maire of the 10th district of Paris since 1995 and Député of the Fifth district of Paris since 1997.

Biography

Tony Dreyfus was born in Paris in 1939. Entered the public life at 20 years, it was one of the organizers of UNEF until in 1963.

Lawyer since 1965, married and father of 5 children, it continues to engage in the social combat. He will be in particular the lawyer of the CFDT and the factory workers Lip of Besancon.

To advise of Paris and the 10th district starting from 1989, Tony Dreyfus was Secretary of State of 1988 with 1991 within the government of Michel Rocard.

In 1995, it is elected mayor of the 10th district and becomes appointed in June 1997. He is re-elected appointed the June 16th 2002, for XIIe legislature (2002 - 2007), in the Fifth district of Paris, like in June 2007 against Lynda Asmani with 17391 votes (63.19%).

With the National Assembly, he was Member of the Commission of Finances and was special protractor of the budget 2002 of the Ministry for the Interior.

In front of the militants of the socialist section, Tony Dreyfus engages, in May 2006, not to again aspire to mandate with the head of the town hall in 2008 and to thus put a term at a situation of office plurality.

According to the list arrétée at November 11th, 2003, he is member of the scientific Committee of orientation of the association founded by Michel Rocard and Dominique Strauss-Kahn, On the left in Europe.
