Empathik

Empathik is a group of Rap French, composed of Actéon and Sin' K, both originating in Drancy, in Seine-Saint-Denis, and formed in 2000.

Biography

In psychology, the Empathie indicates intuitive faculty to be put at the place of others, to perceive what it feels. The Empathik group chooses to express its human feelings while choosing a rap without concession.

In 2001, Empathik creates with other committed artists close to the group Assassin the movement Duty to remember (begun again later on by more famous politicians and artists such as Joey Starr). They will be present on the Mixtape movement, entitled D6d: Duty to remember , appeared in April 2001 (on instrumental of DJ Moos).

In 2003, after several appearances on local mixtapes and compilations, Empathik produced the Beginning . This album gathers the majority of their first pieces, with in particular the famous 1899-1947 (Al Capone) or virulent the Cosa 9.3 , which marked the spirits of the underground of Île-de-France.

In 2004 leaves an album freestyles, Bientôt the maximum . The majority of freestyles are news and the instrumental selected ones are American (time Mobb Deep, Hell One Earth ). On this opus, Sin' K grates on metal with the particularly aggressive fronts of Guitare S while Actéon, inspired, pours in some Towards its misanthropic hatred . One of the pieces headlights of this album is For ourselves , freestyle where the duet insults a producing Mixtape S. Empathik asserts its independence and the exemption from payment of its music as long as a signature in recording company is not finalized (not extracted: I grate for the base, you want my his guy? I come engrave it to you! ). In 2005, the group signs at Incorrupt Records with an aim of leaving a EP. Drawn from nothing , their first true album, leaves in October 2005. The group, opposed to the system of the industry of the disc, decides all to distribute free with an aim of diffusing to the maximum “the message”. The texts are particularly virulent and the hexagonal political system is not saved. The force of Empathik lies in its words which avoid the stereotypes.

The pieces like and they almost all are placed on compilations of French rap. Empathik thus gains the recognition of its pars. The title 9.3 of Galère is taken again on several compilations (in particular compilation Cités 2 France ). The most appreciated pieces are philosophical the Enfer & Paradis , strapping it Nothing is hardcore (present on compilation 93 Hardcore vol. 1 ) and the very dark Crise in topic (present on 93 Hardcore vol. 2 ). Many amateurs of Hip hop compare them with Fabe or the Rumor.

In 2007, Empathik opens in other MCs of French Rap and decides to produce compilation " Incorrupt Hip-Hop". Actéon and Sin' K show their talent as regards production thus. The message is clear: music of quality and FREE. Many recognized artists of French the Hip-Hop medium (K-Bine, Casus Belli, El Gaouli, Sakage Kronik, JAV, RSP) but also Belgian (Mone, Microglycérime) are present. A bet successful by the duet of the Seine-Saint-Denis which does not intend to remain about it there.

Indeed, the group envisages the nearest exit of a LP, always at Incorrupt Records, with pieces approaching its topics of predilection: political directors and human psychic sufferings, in particular.
