Emmeloord
Emmeloord is the administrative center and the main city of the commune of Noordoostpolder, in the province of Flevoland, with the Netherlands.
History
The town of Emmeloord was founded in 1943 on a polder lately created, with the intersection of the three principal channels, the center of the polder. It is used of administrative center, services and communications for the population of the polder. With the downtown area one finds water the tower, the Poldertoren .
At January 2007, its population was of 24.691 inhabitants.
