Emmanuelle Haïm
Emmanuelle Haïm , born in 1967 with Paris, is a Leader French. It created and directs the unit the Concert of Astrée.
Biography
After a training of pianist and organist, Emmanuelle Haïm studies the harpsichord near Kenneth Gilbert and obtains the first five Prices with the Conservatoire Higher National of Music of Paris. She works then near William Christie, Daniel Harding and Simon Rattle, while accompanying in recital several singers: Cecilia Bartoli, Patricia Petibon, Sandrine Piau….She is soon invited chief of international scenes, its first great success taking place with the Festival of Glyndebourne, with Rodelinda and Theodora of Haendel.
In 2000, it creates its own unit baroque: The Concert of Astrée, which meets success quickly, both in France and abroad. Since 2004, the Concert of Astrée is accommodated in residence with the Opéra of Lille where he plays of works of Haendel, Monteverdi, Pergolèse, Mozart… In 2005, the unit is packed of a chorus, placed under the direction of Denis Comtet.
In 2006, to the Theater of Châtelet, it directs the Passion according to Saint Jean, in a setting in scene of Robert Wilson.
