Emmanuel Vitria
Emmanuel Vitria born in 1920 and deceased the May 11th 1987 was one of the first men to profit from a heart Transplant. It held during many years the record of longevity with 6 738 days.
The operation was carried out the November 27th 1968 with Marseilles with the team of the professor Edmond Henry with the Clinique Cantini in the service of the Professor Jouve.
Just like Marius Fox, it became an icon for the mediae, in which it often appeared, thus making the promotion of the Clerc's Office, and representing a form of hope for much of patients, and a symbol of courage in France. For this reason, it represented a Social phenomenon.
