Emmanuel Marie Louis de Noailles

Emmanuel Marie Louis de Noailles , count de Noailles, known as the marquis of Noailles and Maintenon, is a Diplomate French born the December 12th 1743 and dead in September 1822.

Family

Wire junior by Louis de Noailles (1713 - 1793), Duke of Noailles, and the duchess born Catherine Francoise Charlotte of Thimble-Brissac (1724 - 1794), it marries on December 11th 1762 Charlotte Francoise de Hallencourt de Dromesnil (° 1745 -?).

They have three children:

  1. Louis Jules César de Noailles (1773 - 1838), marquis de Noailles;

  2. Marie Philippe Adrien Maurice de Noailles (° 1777 -?) ;
  3. Achilles Charles Victor de Noailles (1779 - 1837), count de Noailles.

Biography

Diplomat of career, he is ambassador in Low-Germany, with the Netherlands, London. He is named with the embassy of Vienna in 1783 and is maintained at this station until the August 10th 1792.

He returns then in France, undergoes a imprisonment under the Terreur, is given in freedom after Thermidor 9 year II (July 27th 1793), and withdraws himself in his grounds.
