Its beginnings

Born the November 23rd 1983 with Avignon, Manual, of its true first name, grows in a family of music lovers. Its early passion for the music leads it to write several texts as of the age of 12 ans : his/her parents then allow him to record its first title Stupid servant boy . After the piano, it takes courses of guitar, but also looks further into the song and the behavior on scene while entering at 15 years at the music school of Villeuneuve-the-Avignon. The November 12th leaves the second individual one Emma If you knew , once again one of her compositions, which is gratifié of a pretty course in the classifications in preamble to the first so much awaited album. It is the December 2nd which its first opus the Swan dive sees the day and the recognition of the professionals brings to him. This title, which is also that of the one of its songs, evokes at the same time a dive towards the unknown but also of the strong feelings and the promises, at the same time enabling him to make a thumb your nose with this image of angel that one had stuck to him. In this album, one finds compositions of Emma but also of great names of the song such as Maxime the Forester, Maïdi Roth, Johan Ledoux and Alex Reverdy, who wrote and composed several songs, as many supports which crédibilisent Emma. The duet which will have marked the year 2005 will be the second with the Swedish group Eskobar You got me , which will know an important success, in particular on the level of the diffusions radios and TV.

Long media pause starting from the second half-year, Emma is locked up in studio to record its new opus which will leave semi February, and which will have as a name " Side effects ". This album, composed of 14 titles, whose in no-claims bonus the duet with Eskobar, will make speak about him as the dedication of the talent of Emma Daumas who wrote or Co-writing all the titles of the album except one. Its personality

Influenced in the past by artists like Sheryl Crow, Vanessa Paradis, or Alanis Morissette, Emma Daumas affirms to belong to these rebellious artists in permanent fight for a better world. Criticisms

With the notoriety acquired thanks to the Star Academy , Emma Daumas also had to face criticisms. The orientation “rebels” that it took after its passage in the emission of TV-reality, by criticizing the “ diktat ” imposed by television, seems rather breeches insofar as it is itself resulting from this system. For some, that arises more of the Positionnement Marketing than of the true ideological engagement. She also adopts, almost by imitation, the style rockeuse for banked-up bed of the Canadian singer, Avril Lavigne.
