The Emirates Stadium is a Football stadium located in the north of London, with Ashburton Grove, Holloway. Arsenal Football Club, club of F Premierleague, evolves/moves there since July 2006. The stage has a sitted capacity of 60.432 places, which makes of it the second greater stage of Premierleague after Old Trafford (Manchester United) and the third greater stage of London after Wembley and Twickenham. The name of project was Ashburton Grove before a contract is signed between the club and the airline company Fly Emirates in October 2004.

N the other hand of this contract record of 147 million euros (£100 million), the stage will have to bear the name of the company during at least 15 years, and the company will remain the sponsor-shirt of the club until in 2014.

Emirates Stadium is regarded as the most profitable stage in First League . It is estimated that, compared to Highbury, the old stage of Arsenal, the one evening receipt of match brings back 1 moreover million books.

The stage is built on the old site of a factory of recycling.

The stage

The stage with the shape of a bowl. It comprises four covered platforms, but the ground is not it. The team of designer is resulting from several group: architects of HOK Sport, consultants of construction of AYH and the company of ingenieurery Buro Happold. The stage was built by Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. on the site of the old industrial park of Ashburton Grove, to a few hundred meters of Highbury, the old stage of Arsenal.

The platforms high (26 646 places) and low (24 425 places) stage are equipped in standard seats.

The central, known platform under the name of Club Level , is most expensive and includes the presidential platform. There are 7.139 seats on this level, which are creditable for one duration ranging between one and four years.

Just above the platform of the club, there is a small platform made up of 150 boxes of 10,12 and 15 seats. The full number of spectators on this level is of 2.222. The most closed platform stage is known under the name of Diamond Club ; it is reserved to the guests and its access requires an advance of £25,000 in addition to one yearly subscription of £25,000. The places include private cabins, an access to the restaurant and the bar, carrying and a security service. Only the members have the possibility of travelling on the aircraft of the players during European displacements.

Because of the strong demand of tickets and ease of certain fans, Arsenal hopes to collect, only with the presidential platform and boxings, as much of money than with the whole of the stage of Highbury.

The ground is 105 meters long by 68 broad, which makes of it the broadest ground of the F First League . The total size of the lawn 113 meters length is by 76 broad. It is directed according to a North-South axis, as in Highbury. The tunnel and the shelter of the players are on the west coast of the lawn, under the principal television camera. The supporters of the visitors are placed in the low part of the south-eastern cock. The place which is reserved to them can vary from 1.500 to 4.500 seats in the low platform located behind the southern goal, and extra of 4,500 seats can be released in the high part of this platform. What carries the total to 9.000 supporters for the visitor team (that corresponds to the 15% necessary for the home matches in F Cup and Carling Cup). The high platform is built in order to leave a space open in the corners of the ground, and the roof is very tilted towards the interior. These two installations are made as well as possible to allow the air circulation and the penetration of the sun in the stage. Arsenal with the reputation to have one of best surfaces of play of the world and the design of the new stage held account of it. Because of this particular architecture, the supporters of the two high platforms cannot be seen. In the north-western and south-eastern angles of the stage, two giant screens are suspended on the roof.

The new stage wants to also pay homage to its history predecessor, thus, the offices of the club are called from now on officially Highbury House .

The bust of Herbert Chapman was exposed in the hall. The two bridges which pass above the railway line were called the Clock End and the North Bank . The clock of Highbury (famous the Clock End ) was embedded in the frontage of Emirates Stadium, opposite the bridge of the same name.
