Emirates
Fly Emirates , or more simply Emirates (in Arab: الإمارات), is a Airline company based with Dubai, it is the most important company of the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1985, it is today one of the most dynamic companies of the area, but it is also and especially a key component in the tourist development strategy of the emirate of Dubai. According to IATA, Emirates appears among the first 10 world airline companies by the number of passengers in 2005 (approximately 14 million passengers).
History
Founded in May 1985 by the government of the emirate of Dubai, the company serves 85 destinations out of the five continents. It belongs to Emirates Group. Its hub is the International airport of Dubai (IATA : DXB). The course of the 14 million travellers was crossed in 2006. The cargo liner activity is the prerogative of Emirates SkyCargo.

At the time of Dubai Air Show 2005, Emirates orders 42 Boeing 777 (24 777-300ER, 8.777-200LR, 10.777 Cargo liner) Moreover, the company converted the option for 2 A380 Cargo into version momentary. A380F should be delivered in 2009 and Emirates ordered 10 Boeing 747-8F at the time of the Farnborough Air Show 2006.
November 11th, 2006, Emirates confirmed the cancellation of 18 A340-600HGW, according to the declarations of Tim Clark, its president, who regards the apparatus as obsolete and too greedy out of kerosene because of his four engines…
Lastly, the company plans to order 100 Airbus A350 XWB or of Boeing 787 and said itself interested by Boeing 747-8I
At the time of Dubai Air Show of 2007, the company of Dubai announced the order of 50 A350-900 XWB like 20 new A350-1000 XWB and 11 A380.
