Emilie Pellapra

Emilie Louise Marie Francoise Joséphine (of) Pellapra , by its marriage countess of Brigode , then princess of Chimay was born with Lyon the November 11th 1806 and died in the Château of Menars (Loir-et-Cher) the May 22nd 1871.

Officially girl of Francoise-Marie Leroy, itself girl of a bookseller of Lyon and her husband, Henri (of) Pellapra, financial rich person become under the Empire receiver of Finances, Emilie Pellapra made it clear that it was the natural girl of Napoleon i. This last would have had an adventure with his/her mother at the time of a stage in Lyon.

The little story goes back however this adventure to April 1805, whereas Napoleon went in Italy to be made there crown. But this date is incompatible with the birth of the interested in November 1806. For that, it would have been necessary that Napoleon remained in Lyon in February 1806. However, no stay in this city at that time seems to have taken place and, according to several authors (in particular André Gavoty in the Bulletin of the Napoleon Institute of April 1950), Napoleon would have met Mrs. Pellapra only in 1810.

Emilie Pellapra married count Louis-Marie of Brigode (1777 - 1827) which died a little later not without them having twins, then it remaria on August 30th 1830 with the prince Joseph de Riquet de Caraman (1808-1886), 17th prince de Chimay, of which it had four children:

  • Marie Therese Emilie (1832 - 1851), countess of Lagrange;

  • Marie '' Joseph '' Guy Henry Philippe (1836 - 1892) (ép. Marie de Montesquiou-Fezensac then Mathilde de Barandiaran);
  • Valentine (1839 - 1914), Princess Paul de Bauffremont then Princess Georges Bibesco;
  • Eugene (1847 - 1881) (ép. Louise de Graffenried-Villars).
