The Emilie-Romagna is a Région of Italy of 4 million inhabitants. It has like capital Bologna.
History
Emilie-Romagna as its name indicates it is made up of two under-areas:- the Emilie, which belonged to the kingdom of Lombardy;
- the Romagna, which belonged to the Papal States and geographically included/understood in the Delta of Po, of Bologna to Rimini.
- It is as in this area as the Etrusques appear before the ancient Rome.
Geography

the area comprises two great under-areas: the Flat of Po and the the Apennines.
- It is one of the areas of the Plaine Po with the Piedmont, the Lombardy, the Venezia.
Language
The old language still used by the elderly is the Langage emiliano-romagnol, in the areas of Romagna and Emilie.
Cities
The area is made up around the axis formed by old the Via Æmilia which went from Rimini (on the Adriatique) to Milan. Also, this axis constitutes a chain of medium-sized cities of which Bologna, Modena, Reggio of Emilie, Parma and Piacenza. Ravenne and Ferrare is close.
