Emile Pouget

Emile Pouget , born with Bridge-with-Salars (Aveyron) the October 12th 1860 and died in Lozere (Palaiseau, Seine-et-Oise) the July 21st 1931, is a Révolution naire and trade unionist French.

Biography

His/her father, notary, being deceased, his mother remaria with an employee of the Highways Departments republican and went to reside at Room-the-Source. Marked forever by the lawsuit of the communards of Narbonne which is held with Rodez, it sharpens its feather incisor and revolted as of its years high-school girls by melting its first newspaper, the republican High-school pupil . As of 1879, it takes part in the creation of the Syndicat of the employees of the textile . In 1881, it joined a group of anarchistic French to the international congress of London. March 9th 1883, whereas it carries out a procession of “without work” of the Invalids towards the Saint-Germain boulevard, three bakeries are plundered. It is stopped, Maubert place, whereas it tries to withdraw Louise Michel to the police officers. He is then condemned to eight years of prison for “plundering with weapons” and is imprisoned between 1883 and 1886 with the prison of Melun. February 24th 1889, it publishes a newspaper lampoonist, the father Peinard , where it publishes many articles there. In 1894, the repression of the anarchistic mediums after the assassination of the president of the Republic obliges it to emigrate in England. It is amnestied in 1895 and returns then to France.

Its English stay made mature its designs of the union action and he recommends as of 1896 actions of Sabotage like means of fight. He expresses of it a theory which he publishes in several articles and opuscules. He will be of 1901 with 1908 assistant secretary of the CGT representing the tendency anarco-trade unionist. In 1906, it takes part besides in the development of the Charte of Amiens. At that time, CGT has practices anarchist-trade unionists (but not Stalinist, since at one pre-Stalinist time). In 1907, he becomes editor association of the Voice of the People , newspaper published by CGT. Starting from 1909, it deviates gradually from the trade-union way. He dies twenty-two years later.
