Emile Molinier

Charles Louis Marie Emile Molinier is a conservative and historian of French art born the April 26th 1857 in Nantes and dead the May 5th 1906 with Paris.

Course

On the traces of his brother Auguste, Emile Molinier integrates the École of the charters. He writes there a thesis of medieval history entitled Étude on the life of Ernoul, lord d' Audrehem, Marshal of France which enables him to obtain the diploma of Archiviste paleographer in 1879.
He works initially with the cabinet of the prints of the National library before joining the Musée of Louvre. He publishes works on the stained glasses, ceramics, the enamels and furniture and organizes great exposures there.
