Emile Léopold Clement
Emile Clément was born with Nangis (Seine-et-Marne) in 1826 and died in Paris in 1881. It is a personality of the Commune of Paris.
Workman shoemaker, it was often imprisoned under the Second Empire because of his activities in secret societies. One suspects it of being become a police informer to obtain his release.
He is elected with the Conseil of the Commune by the XVIIe district. He belongs to the commission of the Subsistence, then of the commission of General security (May 13rd). He votes for creation Comité of public Hello. He is stopped on May 19th after the revelation of his suspect activities under the Empire. After the bloody Semaine it takes refuge in England, then returns to Paris in 1873. Decree it is condemned to the forced labors to perpetuity and deportee in New Caledonia. It returns to France after the amnesty of 1880.
