Emanuel Mendez da Costa is a Naturaliste and a British Philosophe , born the June 5th 1717 and dead the May 31st 1791.

Member of the Royal Society, the Royal Antiquarian Society off London, of Aurelian Society and others learned societies. He is in particular the author of has off Natural History Fossils (1757), Elements off Conchology, gold Year Introduction to the Knowledge off Shells (1776), British Conchology (1778) and several important articles in particular published in the Philosophical Transactions off the Royal Society .
