Birth of Elvifrance

Following unpaid of the editions Channel to Erregi of certain royalties, Cavedon and Barbieri decide to publish themselves their production. They contact Georges Bielec and create Elvifrance limited liability company on April 28th, 1970. The first titles to be appeared are Isabella , of Sandro Angiolini and Cavedon and Jungla of Stelio Fenzo, Mario Cubbino and Trivellato. In front of success, the titles are followed to a frantic rate: Lucifera, Goldboy, Jacula, Club-footed Sam, Lucrèce, Zara the vampire, Wallestein , etc

A sulfurous reputation

The data bases published by Elvifrance approach all the kinds: horror, Humor, Adventure, with like common point a strongly ribald aspect and, with the wire of the annéees, a tendency increasingly marked towards the erotism and the Gore. The data bases of Elvifrance are also announced by great crudeness of the dialogs, often source of humor with word games.

Quickly, Elvifrance will become the favorite target of the commission of Censure of which it will undergo the lightnings with repetition with 532 titles prohibited to the minors and 176 prohibited titles of exposure.

In spite of that, success continues and the titles multiply. A subsidiary company called Novel Close is even created and Elvifrance becomes more important than the Italian head office.

With the passing of years, these Italian data bases for adults evolve more and more to the Pornographie.

End

In the Years 1980, the data base small size is blown and Elvifrance does not escape the phenomenon. Data bases of pocket in Black and white having evil to compete with the films X of Canal+ like to the beachcomber of the video-cassettes of the same type. In spite of attempts to find new markets, Bielec is obliged to close shop on April 15th, 1992.

In July 1993, Georges Bielec succumbs to his problems of Blood circulation following a coronary Pontage.
