Elton Brand

Elton Tyron Brand says Elton Brand (born the March 11th 1979 with Cortland in the state of New York) is a player of American Basket-ball which evolves/moves with the Los Angeles Clippers at the station of strong winger.

Biography

After having led the university of Duke to the Final Furnace, Brand is selected by the Chicago bulldozers in first position of the draft.

In its first season in NBA, the bulldozers carry out their worse season of their history, with only 17 victories for 65 defeats. Brand is with its fellow-member Ron Artest (drafté at the same time as him) one of rare satisfactions of the club: it records 20 points and 10 rebounds of average and becomes first Bull since Artis Gilmore in 1979 to carry out this performance. The following season, the statistics of Brand remain quasi unchanged whereas the bulldozers are inserted still a little more and only 15 matches gain.

To the general surprise, Brand is transferred in June 2001 by the bulldozers to the Los Angeles Clippers against Brian Skinner and the rights of Tyson Chandler, just left the college and selected in second position of the draft by Los Angeles.

During the season 2001-02 it takes part in the All-Star Range following the desistance from Shaquille O'Neal which is wounded. It is thus the first Clipper with being selected with the event since Danny Manning in 1994.

Its performances are worth to him to be named in the American selection for the Championnats of the World 2002, which is transformed into rout: the United States finishes 6th.

In 2006, to the price of an excellent season which sees it finishing 7th with the classification of the best players of the league, Elton Brand takes along the Clippers in playoffs for the first time since 1997.
