Elobey, Annobón and Corisco
Elobey, Annobón and Corisco was a Spanish colony of Africa, including/understanding the small islands of Elobey, Annobón and of Corisco, located in the Golfe of Guinea. Its total surface area is of less than 14 miles square for a population estimated in 1910 at 2.950 people. The capital was Santa Isabel. The islands form now part of the Guinea Equatoriale.
Philately
This colony is known philatelists to have published its own stamps between 1903 and 1910. The first represented the profile of the young person Alphonse XIII of Spain, and consisted of a series of 18 facial values of 1/4 Centime S to 10 Peseta S. This series was reprinted, with the mention " 1905".
In 1906, the 1c, 2c, 3c and 4c were revalued in 10c, 15c, 25c and 50c, using a framework with the value and " 1906". A series of 1907 of 16 values updated with a older profile of Alphonse XIII. Several of these values were revalued between 1908 and 1910. On the whole, more than 72 editions are identified in the Yvert catalog.
Then the islands used the stamps of the Spanish Guinea.
