Elko (language)
The elko is a built Langue (or conlang), it is thus distinguished from the languages known as “natural”. It is also a language “a priori”, i.e. a language which does not draw its vocabulary from already existing languages, as it is the case for Esperanto, the volapük or even Ido which one calls as for them languages “a posteriori”. The elko is completely detached from any other existing natural language in order to seek a certain neutrality.
Although Elko could claim with an international use, this in is not the motivation first. The destiny will be given the responsability to make live this language as it should be. The elko answers however laws of neutrality, logic and facility of training. It can be used by any people, any culture. It does not require any pre-necessary cultural or social, this is why one speaks about “neutral” language.
Morphology
The elko functions using keys (1014 on the whole), which are added between them to potentially form million other words by combinations and thus the million words.
A word is composed of a categorisator on the right and a specificator (or several) on the left. The categorisator describes the category in which one classifies the word (activity, building, vehicle, place,…) whereas the specificator gives information allowing to distinguish all the words having the same categorisator.
Here some examples of keys:
-
RAN = sky
- WEK = animal
- WAK = vehicle
- WEL = god
- KOW = language
- DAW = group
- KER = dog
- LEW = building
- =
- TEB = lesson
The more two keys resemble each other morphologiquement, the more they resemble each other semantically
KAB (symbol)/NAB (writing)/(delivers)/TEB (lesson), etc
Any key can be used of categorisator or specificator. There are no rules. There is no dictionary, it is to the speakers to form their own words using the existing keys.
Here some examples of words:
RAN (sky) + WAK (Vehicle) = ranak (plane)
“W” disappears during agglutination.
-
RAN (sky) + WEK (animal) = ranek (bird)
- KER (dog) + WEK (animal) = kerek (dog)
- KER (dog) + DAW (group) = kerda (pack)
The Affix S:
There exists in elko 22 affixes, which in are made keys reduced to a vowel only.
-
6 prefixes: to form the kind and the number
- 8 suffixes: to distinguish the various types of morphemes
- 4 infix: to obtain semantic nuances
- 4 particular affixes: being also used to obtain semantic nuances
Why “language of the gods”?
Indeed, one is in right to put the question. " Elko" mean " literally; the language of the gods " or more precisely " the language which comes from the gods ". Indeed all the keys used in elko come étymologiquement from divinities, places, scenes or characters of mythologies of the whole world.
Mythology elkanne
The elko recently has a universe which is clean for him. Composed of several worlds the term of " is preferred to him; multivers". Thus the multivers elkan or " Losda" (in elko) consists of several planets and many characters.
Mythology elkanne can grow rich by the means of your misadventures (or virutelle identity). Thus, it is supplemented gradually, thanks to you and with your imagination. There exists a base of work on which you must work in order to respect a certain coherence, but your imagination will make the remainder.
