Elizabeth Boutell
Elizabeth Boutell , born Davenport with the beginning of the Years 1650, and deceased in 1715, was a British actress of the period of the Restauration. The exact dates of its birth and its death remain unknown. She played in the Royal Compagnie of Charles II towards 1670 and held during this time of the important roles, of which Benzayda in the Conquest of Grenade of John Dryden (December 1670 and January 1671), Melantha in the Marriage with the Mode of Dryden (April 1672), Margery Pinchwife in Provincial the of William Wycherley (January 12th 1675), and probably Rosalinda in Sophonisba of Nathaniel Lee (April 3rd 1675). Its role the most famous remainder that of the Statira queen in the part Rival The Queens of John Dryden (March 17th 1677). She was specialized in roles of woman disguised as a man, like that of Fidelia in the frank Man of William Wycherley (December 11th 1676).
