It is the sister of the king Louis XVI, the count of Provence (future Louis XVIII) and of the count of Artois (future Charles X). It is the girl of the Dolphin Louis-Ferdinand and Marie-Josèphe of Saxony, the grand-daughter of Louis XV.
Orphan of father and mother very early, it is a mischievous child. She assagit while growing and her good character attracts sympathies to him; she is very attached to her brothers who although different from character, return to him well. She is known for her kindness and her great piety (Henri Essex Edgeworth de Firmont was its confessor).
At the time of the revolutionary disorders, she refused to emigrate and shared the fate of the royal family. She was locked up with the Prison of the Temple in 1792. She took care on her young niece, Mrs Royale, after the execution of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, inculcating Christian values to him and not to seek any revenge.
She was guillotinée the May 10th 1794 and buried with the Cimetière of Errancis. After the Revolution its skin was put at the Catacombes of Paris with the other torture victims; a medallion represents it in Saint Denis.
