Elisabeth Platel

Elisabeth Platel , born on April 10th, 1959, is a French Danseuse and the current principal of dance of the national Opéra of Paris.

Biography

After studies of dance to the academy of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer, it enters to the Conservatoire of Paris and obtains a first price in 1975. Engaged the following year in the corps de ballet of the Opera of Paris, it is promoted prone in 1978 and gains, the same year, the medal of money to the international Concours of ballet of Varna.

First dancer in 1979, it obtains its first roles of soloist and is chosen by Maurice Béjart to be the partner of Jean Babilée in Life (June 1979). The December 23rd 1981, it is named star and interprets all the great roles of the traditional repertory. Rudolf Noureev makes its dancer fetish besides of it.

In world tour with Manual Legris and Nicolas the Rich person, it traverses the international scenes in 2000.

In 2001, it takes part in film of Dominique Delouche Violette and Mister B. , at the sides in particular of Violette Verdy, Monique Loudières, Nicolas the Rich person and Helgi Tomasson.

In 2004, it is named principal of dance of the national Opéra of Paris, succeeding Claude Bessy.
