Elisabeth Morin

Elisabeth Morin , born the October 10th 1947 with Ceaux-in-Couhé (France, department of the Vienna), general inspector of the administration of State education and research, is a political Femme French, member of the the European Parliament.

Member of the UMP, it is elected with the District council of Poitou-Charentes.

Professional path

Holder of a control of old story, it is received in 1970 with the CAPES of history-geography. She teaches in establishments of Vienna before being named in 1984 mission leader with the vice-chancellorship of Poitiers where she deals with the restoration of the colleges then of the cultural activity.

In 1985 it becomes assistant editor of the teaching Regional center of documentation. In 1988, it opens the antenna of the National center of remote teaching (CNED) on the site of the Futuroscope, and it occupies there the functions of headmaster and director of the CNED. She is charged to locally prepare the delocalization of the CNED on the site of Futuroscope, before being named, in 1994, with the head office of the center.

In 1995, named inspector of regional teaching academy-inspector, it is responsible for the formation to the subdirectorate of the staff training of the direction of administrative staffs, techniques and of framing, at the minister of education main road.

General inspector of the administration of state education and research since the April 25th 2001.

Political career

  • Candidate (not elected) of UMP in the Western district with the European elections of the June 13rd 2004 (3rd of the list led by Roselyne Bachelot-Narquin). The nomination of the latter to the Gouvernement Francois Fillon in May 2007 gives then him access to the the European Parliament.

  • Member of the Economic and Social Council of September 2004 at May 2007, named by the Prime Minister in the college of the personalities qualified in the economic domain, social, scientific or cultural; member of the Section of the regional economies and town and country planning; vice-president of the Delegation for the European Union.

  • National secretary of UMP (2002 - 2004), member of the political office since June 2003.
