Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (born the July 8th 1926 with Swiss Zurich in and deceased the August 24th 2004), was a psychiatrist and a psychological American, pionnière of the approach of the “palliative Soins” for the people at the end of the lifetime and of the accompaniment to dying. It accompanied by the thousands of people at the end of the lifetime, studied the various stages by which passes a person when it learns that it will die and also the phenomenon of the experiments of imminent death (more known under the English term NDE) and of the “tunnel of light”. In its honor, the price of research " Elisabeth Kübler-Ross" is decreed each two years by the unit " Ethics and end of vie" academic institute Kurth Boesch in Sion in Switzerland by Professor Charles-Henri Painter.
It is noticed that the acceptance of death passes by the same stages as the Deuil.
