Its test False route , published in 2003, which fustigates the contemporary Misandrie - like various critical writings as for the new laws concerning the political Parité or the treatment of the crimes and offenses sexual - caused the hostility of the radical feminists, who dispute from now on the epithet of “feminist to him”. On its side, it continues to be claimed some, asserting that the vocation of the Féminisme is not to lead a war of the sexes aiming at a revenge against the men.
Its originality and its freedom of tone compared to its medium of thought had already appeared before this test, since it for a long time develops its theory of the “resemblance” of the sexes. At the time of the publication of What a woman? , the newspaper Le Monde thus summarized its position on the question: “Elisabeth Badinter thinks that rationalist humanism, the stress laid on the resemblance between the men and the women, are historically carrying the progress of the female condition, whereas all the thoughts of the difference are potentially carrying discrimination and inequality. ” (March 17th 1989)
