Eliezer

This name is different from Eléazar.

Eliezer (Heb.: אֱלִיעֶזֶר ʾĔlîʿézer ; " /Cour of my God " helps; or God is my assistance) is a name carried by two characters of the Tanakh, and several Wise of the Talmud.

Eliezer of Damas

Eliezer of Damas (Heb.: אֱלִיעֶזֶרדַּמֶּשֶׂק , is presented by the Master whom it serves, Abraham, like his/her adoptive son (Genèse 15:2): (Chouraqui translation):

15.2. Abrâm known as: “Adonaï!

That you will give me; I go myself stripped

and the management of my house is with a son of Damèssèq: Èli `èzèr! ”

According to the common opinion, the anonymous servant in Hayei Sarah (Genesis 24), which arranges the marriage of Isaac is this Eliezer. One as points out as the guematric value d'" Eliézer" is 318, figure appearing in all letters in Genèse 14,14.

14.14. Abrâm hears that his/her brother was captured,

it presses its juniors, the children of his house, three hundred and eighteen,

and continues until Dân.

Eliezer Ben Moshe

Eliezer was the second wire of Moïse and Séphora, quoted in Exode (18: 4): (Chouraqui translation)

18. 2. Itro, father-in-law of Moshè, take Sipora, the woman of Moshè,

3. and its two sons. Name of the one, Guérshôm,

Gershom and Eliezer were born when Moïse, having fled of Egypt, had found refuge in Madian, and had married Séphora, girl of Jethro.
