Elie Bloncourt

Elie Bloncourt , born on May 5th, 1896 with Low-Ground (Guadeloupe) and deceased in 1978 with Antony, is a Politician and Résistant French.

Raise stock exchange, Elie Bloncourt obtains its baccalaureat in 1913 with the Carnot college of Point-with-Clown but must stop his studies with dead his/her mother, who only raised it with her 5 brothers and sisters. It is mobilized in 1915, following the laws on the colonial conscription, and fights in the Dardanelles, with Salonique and in Macedonia. It benefits from a permission to marry in Guadeloupe in 1917 but sets out again for the area of Verdun without awaiting the birth of his son. It fights then in the department of the Aisne, within Marchand division. Wounded with the face in May 1918, it definitively loses the sight and it is left for died on the battle field, finishing the war in a German hospital.

Returned with the civil life, it settles in France with his wife and his/her son, learns the Braille and typewriting and is registered with the Sorbonne where it obtains a license of philosophy in 1921. Become professor, it settles with Fère, close to Laon. From 1934, it represents its canton of adoption to the council of district of Laon and the general advice of Aisne, then is elected appointed with legislative of 1936. An astonishing political course for a mulatto in this very rural area.

Absent from the assembly at the time full powers with the Maréchal Pétain in 1940 votes it, it integrates the Résistance quickly and becomes president of S.F.I.O for the occupied zone. It contributes to the installation of the Northern Groupe Release, of which it is one of the first persons in charge for the department of Aisne. It organizes then the Réseau Brutus charged to supervise the movements of the Wehrmacht. In 1944, the National council of Resistance indicates it to direct the Committee of Release of Aisne. During the release of Paris, it invests the offices of the street Oudinot in the name of the Provisional government of the Republic, then in Laon, takes officially possession of the prefecture on August 30th, 1944.

After the Release, Elie Bloncourt takes again its functions of professor of philosophy to the Charlemagne college. Re-elected appointed of Aisne into 1945 at the sides of his friend Pierre Bloch, it sits at the commission of the overseas territories. Following the example his/her brother max-Clainville, Elie Bloncourt asserts a socialism without concession. Disappointed evolution of the S.F.I.O., it is hostile with the moderate tendencies Leon Blum and Daniel Mayer. In 1947, dissatisfied with the rupture socialo-Communist, it is not represented with the elections and leaves the party. It founds the MSUD then (Mouvement Socialist Unit and Democratic which will become the Unit Socialist party thereafter) and publishes the Socialist Battle. It then adheres to the Union socialist left, which gathers Christians of left, trotskists and former Communists, but leaves this movement when this one takes part in the foundation of the Socialist party Unified in 1958. In 1971, at the 75 years age, it joined finally the new Socialist party refondé by François Mitterrand with the Congrès of Epinay-sur-Seine.

In 1968, it is witness for the defense with the lawsuit of the eighteen nationalists inhabitants of Guadeloupe submitted before the court of state security following the bloody events of May 1967.
