Elie Barnavi
Elie Barnavi is a historian Israél IEN. Born in 1946 with Bucharest (Romania), he emigrates with his parents in Israel. After studies of history and political sciences with the Hebraic University of Jerusalem, with the University of Tel Aviv and the Sorbonne, it is named professor of history of the modern Occident to the Université of Tel Aviv, where it directs the Center of international studies.
He was also director of studies at the Institute of national defense and member of the movement Peace Now. Ambassador of Israel in France of 2000 with 2002, it takes again then his teaching of history at the University of Tel Aviv. He in particular published “a Modern history of Israel”, a “universal History of the Jews”, “Open letter with the Jews of France”, and works on XVIe French century. He is scientific director of the Musée of Europe to Brussels.
