Eliane Elias is a Pianiste and Brazilian Chanteuse , born the March 14th 1960 with Sao Paulo

In the beginning traditional pianist of formation, Eliane Elias starts to occur at the 17 years age by accompanying by the Brazilian musicians Toquinho and Vinicius de Moraes. It is made known internationally in 1983, when it records a disc with the group of jazz Steps Ahead codirigé, at the time, by Mike Mainieri and Michael Brecker. A little later she collaborates with the trumpet player Randy Brecker whom she marries. It is as pianist whom it records the first albums under its name (with musicians like Jack DeJohnette, Eddie Gomez, Marc Johnson, Peter Erskine, Naná Vasconcelos, Oscar Castro-Firns,…). Like side (wo) man, one could hear it near musicians like Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gall Costa, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, James Taylor, Michael Franks, Andy Summers, Earl Klugh, Toots Thielemans,…

Since a few years, while continuing its career of pianist, benefitting from the renewed interest of the public for the vocal jazz and the worked, it records albums as singer. Its last albums (Dreamer and Around the City) besides knew important - and deserved business success, with its recoveries of Worked Nova, decorated of its natural talent for the pianistic inprovistation of high flight. Its four-bit byte with Mark Johnson (Double bass) scum festivals in 2005 2006 and 2007 to come.
