Anecdotes

  • Its voice is that of the actor Robert Guillaume in the original version. If one could believe that its face and its body were modelled from those of Bill Cobbs, the resemblance is a coincidence: Eli is in fact based on Larry " The Count" Heard, an inhabitant of the corner which held a sign indicating that he sought a work. Valve found it in the angle between Highway 250 and the 148ème Avenue with and in made their model.

  • In the beginning, Eli Vance was not supposed to have bond with Alyx, and was to be a man who was called Eli Maxwell, which had an automobile discharge that it would use as laboratory instead of Black Mesa Is. The father of Alyx was to be the Captain Vance, the chief of a rebellious group. The two characters amalgamated however thereafter to become Eli Vance.
