Eli Biham
Eli Biham is a Israeli Cryptologue. It receives its doctorate in 1990 to have invented the Cryptanalyse differential under the supervision of Adi Shamir, this method was however known under the name of attacks-T at the time of the design of the . The team of IBM at her origin had to preserve the secrecy.
Eli Biham is currently professor at the Department of Data processing of L ''' Israeli Institut of Technology ''. Biham is the inventor of the cryptographic Fonction of chopping Tiger and worked on the attacks related to these primitives, in particular on SHA-0. Biham designed the symmetrical encryption algorithm Serpent, unfortunate candidate of AES. It also took part in the project NESSIE aiming at evaluating the various cryptographic primitives available at present. In 2005, Biham published a new encryption algorithm by flood: Py (to be pronounced Roo ). Very effective, its performances exceed those of RC4, coding by flood more used but Py must still be cryptanalysé.
