One year after, in 3320, it left towards the east and based the kingdom of Arnor in Eriador, while its sons Isildur and Anárion, which had accosted with Pelargir, founded the kingdom of the Gondor, on which Elendil also reigned, represented by its two sons.

The allied armies passed by Imladris, crossed the Misty Monts then went down towards the south, along the Anduin. They overcame the Orques of Sauron on the plain of Dagorlad, then entered to the Mordor and besieged Barad-hard during seven long years, without success.

Sauron left its tower finally and faced Elendil and Gil-galad on the slopes of the Orodruin. It was overcome by the man and the elf, but those also perished, and Narsil, the sword of Elendil, was broken. Isildur, his/her son, cut the finger of Sauron which carried the single Anneau, finally overcoming the fine Maia and putting at the Second Age.
