Elena Berezhnaya
Elena Berezhnaya , born the October 11th 1977 with Nevinnormirsk, is a artistic skater Russian which contributes in couple.
Its partner since 1996 is Anton Sikharulidze with which it gains many European titles, world and the Olympic title in 2002 in Salt Lake City. The couple is pulled by Tamara Moskvina.
Its preceding partner is Oleg Sliakhov, with which it would contribute for the Latvia. But on January 9th, 1996, Elena is victim of a serious accident: whereas the couple carries out a pirouette side by side, Oleg ceases turning and the blade of its shoe returns in the head of Elena, which is immediately brought to the urgencies. Following the operation, it must make therapies of rehabilitation but a few months after it patinate again.
