Elements of the Destiny

The Éléments of the Destiny are a team of super-unpleasant created by Marvel Comics, appeared for the first time in Avengers #188 , in 1979.

Initially of simple human deteriorated, they were transformed into pure elements.

Origin

Doctor Khandruvitch developed an apparatus allowing to transform the human ones into chemical elements. These Elements (Carbon, Chlorine, Neon, Phosphorus, Plutonium, Radium, Titanium, and Vanadium) seized a centale nuclear Russian.

During the combat with the Avengers, they made transfer of force a man, becoming Cobalt and were on the point of making transfer the Faucon when Miss Marvel exploded the heart of the power station, drowning the Elements under an extreme remains rain.

The wizard Diablo discovered them in another dimension and was combined with them, under the name of the Masters of Alchemy. Their goal was to create an army of soldiers of Vibranium. The Vengeurs faced them. Baru, one wakandais, became Vibranium, but remained a hero in his country.

After this series of failures, Doctor Khandruvitch left to settle in the USA and created new elements, but this time starting from the elements alone. Its objective was to grow rich while making sing the government, by destroying surprised attacks. With the airport of Guardia then at Madison Square Garden, the Thunderbolts intervened and drove out the Elements. They continued them until their base and in fact were trapped by 10 of the 109 Elements.

The Elements gave up their creator and decided to convert Humanity. In the combat which followed, Techno had the broken neck. The Elements were finally overcome.

A.I.M. recreated some of them to make use of it as alive weapons with St-Louis and they tried to kill their creator, who knew how to eliminate them. The Vengeurs built with his assistance an apparatus, and the Elements were destroyed.

Line-up

The 9 human transferred which constituted the first version were: Carbon, Chlorine, Cobalt, Neon, Phosphorus, Plutonium, Radium, Titanium, and Vanadium.

One counts thereafter several tens of members (they would be 109 on the whole but that was not proven.

Among them: Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Bromine, Cadmium, Californium, Cesium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Dysprosium, Erbium, europium, Gold, Hafnium, Helium, Hydrogen, Indium, Iridium, Iron, Lead, Magnesium, Mercury, Neodymium, Neptunium, Nickel, nobelium, Platinum, Ruthenium, Scandium, Selenium, Money, Sodium, Thallium, Tellurium, Tungsten, Uranium and Zirconium

Capacities

  • Each Element has specific capacities to its element. Thus, Carbon fear of changing into diamond, Chlore can project poisoned gas, Phosphore ignites in the presence of Oxygène, Plutonium emits radiations mortals…
