Elektrėnai

Elektrėnai is a town of Lithuania approximately cash 14.000 inhabitants. Located advantageously between the two larger cities of the country, Vilnius and Kaunas, it is since 2000 capital administrative of the Municipalité of Elektrėnai in the Apskritis of Vilnius. The city is one of most recent country, having been founded during the Soviet occupation in order to shelter the workers of a powerplant located near; the name of the city refers to electricity besides.
