Electronica

the electronica is a Musical genre, of the big family of the Electronic music.

Characteristic

The électronica term was used the first time in the name of a compilation including of the artists Techno of Strait, today its use is often very broad.

The electronica generally indicates a Electronic music which does not have like vocation the first dance, a music more turned towards the experimentation on electronic bases. Therefore one tends sometimes to bring it closer to the music electroacoustic. The electronica is also close and merges even sometimes with the IDM (Intelligent dance music) or braindance .

In a broad direction, the electronica term is some time used to indicate forms of electronic musics which do not return in other categories. One then speaks generally the electro one but one regularly finds the term “électronica”.

In a more strict direction, it is an electronic music generally based on a tempo slower than the Techno but comprising the happy one all the same forming a rate/rhythm, which differentiates it from the Ambient. The electronica has an approach more experimental than the Minimal techno, one can compare the music of Autechre (electronica) and of Richie Hawtin (minimal techno) for better including/understanding.
