Electrolyte Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor
A EOSFET is a MOSFET whose metal is replaced by a electrolyte. The current in the FET is influenced by the loads present in the electrolyte in contact with the layer of insulator. The EOSFET can be used to detect biopolymères or a neuronal activity.
It is possible to carry out neuropuces ( neurochips ) gathering a great number of EOSFET.
