Electrelane

Electrelane is a group of Rock English originating in Brighton, formed in 1998 by Verity Susman and Emma Gaze. Their first album, Rock'n'roll It To The Moon , recorded in 2001, is mainly instrumental. The second album, heading The Power Out (produced by Steve Albini, recorded in 2004), comprises more musical voices and structures. The third album, Axes , were recorded in 2005. It finds more the spirit of the first, mainly instrumental. In April 2007 the 4 girls of Brighton leave the album No Shouts No Cal , where the voices remake definitely more their appearance, and connect the concerts through the United States and Europe. They carry out in particular an excellent service with the festival the road of the rock'n'roll. The influences of the group are to be found in particular side of Pink Floyd (the first album mainly), the Velvet Underground, Patti Smith… Towards the end of the year 2007, after 10 years of collaboration, the group announces its separation, chacunes wishing to turn to new horizons. Their last concert takes place on December 1st, 2007 in their town of origin Brighton.
