Electrabel
Electrabel is a Public limit company of Belgian right founded in 1990. It is resulting from the fusion of the companies Intercom, Ebes and Unerg.
Electrabel is historically the largest producer and supplier of electricity of Belgium, it is developing on the European market.
The majority shareholder Suez-Tractebel (to 51,1%) repurchased, the August 24th 2005, the 49,9% of the remaining actions by a tender offer.
Electrical production
Electrabel manages a park of production of approximately 29.500 MW in the European areas. The park of production uses mainly power stations fed with natural gas and nuclear plants, with in Belgium and in Luxembourg:- Nuclear plant of Tihange
- Nuclear plant of Doel
- turbines gas vapor (TGV) of Vilvoorde, Herdersbrug, Saint-Ghislain and the Esch-on-Alzette.
