Elections in the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges
The municipal elections with the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges take place every six years, like everywhere in France. It is a Scrutin proportional of list to two turns (without any possible modification of the list).
Municipal elections of Sundays March 11th and 18th 2001
Context
The town of the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges was not gained by the right since the municipal elections of 1983 where Maurice Jeandon, outgoing mayor, had been re-elected. Since 1989, it is a left mayor of , Christian Pierret, which had been continuously re-elected. It had had to yield its seat in 1997 to its first assistant, Robert Bernard, due to ministerial functions. It represents in 2001. Vis-a-vis him, the leader of the municipal opposition, Michel Ball, and three other candidates.
