Elastin

The elastin is a Protéine secreted by the Fibroblaste S primarily during the period of growth, and endowed with elastic properties.

Its synthesis decreases with the age and it is replaced by inextensible Collagène. The Vergeture S are a visible example of this process, here dependant on mechanical constraints.
