Elapidae

The Elapidae (Elapidae) are one of Serpent S poisonous which includes the cobras, Mamba S, Krait S, najas, alarming specters and coral snakes, as well as all the poisonous snakes of the Australia (Taipan brown S, snakes, etc). Elapidae have the hollow hooks located in front of the mouth, but these hooks cannot be set up like those of the Vipère S pertaining to the family of the Viperidae. Instead of that, Elapidae must really bite their prey instead of stabbing them with the manner of the vipers.

Note: some authors place the alarming specters in a separated family, the Hydrophiidae.

The kind-type in the beginning was called Elaps , but it was moved towards another family.
