El Juli

Julián López Escobar known as “El Juli” born the October 3rd 1982 with Madrid, is a Spanish Matador.

Presentation

Wire of old a Novillero unlucky person which lost an eye in bullfight, raises school taurine of Madrid, “El Juli” fights its first bull the June 2nd 1991, at the time of its solemn communion. Its direction of the bull and the temple , its technical control except par, a joy without equivalent characterizes this first “Juli” which makes run crowd as from 1995 (it did not have whereas 13 years).

In 1997, because of its young age which prohibits toréer in the French and Spanish arenas to him, it expatriate in Mexico where he acquires a large celebrity quickly. The Mexican bullfight, because of more powerful bulls, nobler and less handy than the European bulls , supports the tercio of spades and the play of cape. This Mexican period of “El Juli” thus enabled him to acquire a great repertory of master keys of capes.

“El Juli” takes the alternative on September 18th, 1998 to Nimes, of the hands of “Manzanares”, in the presence of Jose Ortega Cano.

As of the year following its alternative, “El Juli” settles, in company of Enrique Ponce, at the tops of the Escalafón.

The young wonder which enchanted crowd by her childish ease and insolente, is auujourd' today regarded as one of large maestros of its generation, opening the way with a generation of young bullfighters resulting from the schools taurines, among which French “Juan Bautista” and “Sebastien Castela”, characterized by a great ease and a technical field crop.

In 2001, it follows one of his/her friends, Vincent Simon, and agrees to give its name for the cause of the children of the world. Thus is created with Mount-with-Marsan (Landes) the first Peña with humane goal. The benefit of its bodega are transferred with UNICEF and the Club Quetzal.
