El-wadi
El-Wadi (Arab: الواد) is a city and wilaya the North-East of the Algérie and its chief town (administrative code: 39).
The wilaya of El-Wadi is located at the north of the sea of the dunes of the Grand Eastern erg. It has a surface of 82 800 km ² and count 604 401 inhabitants. This area is also called Souf, according to the dialect employed. “Arabic Wadi” and “souf into Berber” mean both “French river”, indeed underground river crosses the wilaya.
The town of El-Wadi, chief town of Souf, is called “the city with the thousand cupolas”. It is to 620 km in the south-east of Algiers, and is located roughly between 33° and 34° of Northern latitude and between 6° and 8° of longitude Is. With the census of 1998, the city counted 139.362 inhabitants. El-wadi is connected to the other cities by its airport and the network of the trunk roads, including worms the south.
