El-Alamein
El Alamein is an Egyptian city located in the deserted of Libya, at the edge of the Mediterranean. It is located at 106 km in the west of Alexandria and at 240 km in the North-West of the Cairo.
It was the theater, in July and October-November 1942, of two important battles of the Second world war, opposing Italian division Folgore and German armor-plated divisions of the Afrika Korps, ordered by Rommel, with the British forces of the general Montgomery, putting fine at the Guerre of the desert.

At present, El Alamein is a commercial port, located at approximately hundred kilometers in the west of Alexandria, mainly used by the tankers. She also saw historical tourism.
