Eitri
Eitri is a dwarf of the Scandinavian Mythologie. It has as a brother Brokk.
When Loki had gold hair of Sif, the marvellous boat of Freyr, Skidbladnir, and the spear of Odin, Gungnir, all carried out by wire of Ivaldi, it bet with Brokk its own head which Eitri would not be able to manufacture of other attributes as valid as these.
Eitri started to work in its forging mill while Brokk actuated the bellows, but a fly (sometimes supposed to be Loki itself) returned and started to prick Brokk, trying to divert it its task and to ruin the objects.
Eitri however succeeds in forging the gold ring Draupnir, and Gullinbursti, the wild boar drawing the tank from Freyr, like Mjöllnir, the hammer of the god Thor, a success even if its handle were forged shorter than envisaged. Brokk thus won its bet.
