Ein Kerem

Ein Kerem (Hebrew: עיןכרם ) is a Village craftsmen within the municipal limits of Jerusalem, in Israel. Ein Kerem means the source of the vine . According to the Christian tradition , it is the site where Saint Jean Baptiste was born and thus the village became a site of Pèlerinage.

At the time Byzantine, it was a liturgical place of station (details here).
