Eichō era
The era Eichō (in Japanese: ja 永長) is one of the eras of Japan (ja 年号, nengō , literally “the name of the year”) according to the Kahō and preceding the era Jōtoku extending from the 1094 to the 1096. The reigning emperor was Horikawa - tennō (ja 堀河天皇).
