Ehoud Olmert (in Hebrew: אהודאולמרט), born the September 30th 1945 with Binyamina in Israel, is it twelfth and current Israeli Prime Minister . He is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the government of Ariel Sharon starting from 2003 and becomes member of the party Kadima with his creation. As the Israeli law envisages it, it occupies, starting from the January 4th 2006, the post of Prime Minister by interim to replace Ariel Sharon when this one is hospitalized following “serious” an brain attack. The April 11th 2006, right before the end of the 100 maximum days period of governorship per interim, Ariel Sharon is declared in a state of permanent disability, which puts an end officially to its functions of Prime Minister three days later. Ehoud Olmert is married and father of five children. It supports the football team of the Betar Jerusalem since tens of years.
Ehoud Olmert is elected for the first time at the Knesset in 1973, at the age of 28 years (youngest child of the deputies), and it is re-elected there seven times consecutively while occupying of the important stations, in particular with the head of the Commission of the Foreign affairs and Defense. Between 1981 and 1988, it belongs to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the cabinet of safety. It takes part in the cabinet of Finances, Education and the budget.
